Oscillating sound - artificial, futuristic, science fiction, digital/analog fusion - fearful, scanning - data, defensive - nervous, agitated - ongoing, relentless, flat synth single note - like a scanning eye, looking, searching - we are the aliens - fearful of invaders, fearful of evolution, fearful of change, fearful of truth - intolerant - power hungry - disconnected from humanity. The near - empty border crossings. Everything that seemed so urgent and important is no longer so. But the machine is still running, searching, protecting itself without humanity or conscience. Slight color changes over time are powerful - active sound, near static image - powerful - anxiety and anticipation - self fulfilling prophecies - trying to stop evolutionary change - patriarchy, racism, tribalism, religious intolerance, us vs them - we are our own undoing.
