This sculpture focus on issues of consumption, social class, immigration and the border. The idea is to challenge the idea of the modern city and to politicize disenfranchisement, to make it neut, to reinvent what’s beneath us, to remind us where we all come from. The grid formed by the reinforcing bar serves both as an abstraction of the border and also as a meeting point as you need several people to create this performance piece and push it or pull it addressing what’s happening globally and at home with immigration, migration, loss and the debates over borders and policies point to an acute case of historical amnesia
